MGS accountants is a locally owned Chartered Accounting practice based in Atherton, located at the heart of the Atherton Tablelands, approximately one and a quarter hours drive south-west of Cairns in tropical Far North Queensland. The office was opened originally in 1984 by Hall Chadwick’s Cairns office to service their clients on the Tablelands, and continued to operate as a branch office of this nationally recognized firm of accountants until July 2003.
On the 1st of August 2003 the business was purchased by Margaret Stevenson, a Chartered Accountant who had, at that time, managed the Atherton office for nine years.
The practice then operated under the name “Hall Chadwick Atherton” until March of 2008 when the name was changed to “MGS accountants” as we know it today.
